The Gibraltar Tom / Floor Tom Mount Bracket connects directly to a tom shell.
It is designed to fit L rods or floor tom legs with diameters from 9.5mm to 12.7mm. It has a mount hole spacing of 2" center to center, and includes a memory lock.
STL4 Tom / Floor tom bracket may make floor tom too wide to fit in case
I bought this from another seller for converting my 14" hanging tom to a floor tom. The bracket is sturdy and comes with a lock, and would probably make a good way to mount a hanging tom to an L-rod. UNFORTUNATELY, I found that when i mounted 3 of them to the side of my 14" hanging tom so I could attach legs to them, the wing nut that protrudes from the front side of the bracket makes the floor tom too wide to fit in the hard case that I used for it. I need to get three SC-TL2 brackets instead, so I wasted $75 on these three brackets, hense the '3' score.
