Great clamp - but I feel the curve is the wrong way when micing into the centre of the drum head . The curve suits sitting with the mic goose neck pointing away from the drum skin , in this way I’ve used it for under mic cymbals as its curve grabs the circular hoop well . When turned in 180 degrees only the outer edges of the clamp touch the shell hoop . I have 3 of these for micing multiple kicks or percussion etc ,

Poorly designed
The goose neck is not particularly malleable, and the profile of the hoop clamp is engineered the wrong way; if you want to mount a mic to aim at the bass drum head (as per the picture) the curve of the mount goes in the opposite direction to the curve of the drum.
Can I still just about make it work? Yes, but it’s far from good enough.
