Considered the best Brazilian heavy metal drummer of the last twenty-two years by drumming magazines and sites, Aquiles Priester has made a name for himself among drummers both locally and worldwide. He has collected awards and achievements throughout his career and has made his home country of Brazil proud.
As a drumming expert and educator, Aquiles Priester has done more than 500 drum clinics and has taken part in the most prominent drum festivals worldwide.
He has put out four educational DVDs: Inside My Drums (2004), The Infallible Reason of My Freak Drumming (2010), Aquiles Priester's Top 100 Drum Fills (2013), which Modern Drummer elected as the "best educational DVD of the year," and his first Blu-ray and triple DVD All Access to Aquiles Priester's Drumming (2019). Additionally, he has put out four drumming textbooks: Inside My PsychoBook: 100 Double Bass Patterns (2007), Aquiles Priester Biography (2010), Aquiles Priester's Top 100 Drum Fills (2013), and the PsychOctopus Play Along (2014).
In 2017 Aquiles Priester took part in heavy metal legend W.A.S.P.'s European tour, traveling through 21 countries, and he is ready to embark on the band’s 40th Anniversary World Tour in 2022.
In 2020, the very first time for a Brazilian metal drummer, Aquiles Priester was ranked number one in the double bass category by the readers of Modern Drummer Magazine and was also awarded the YouTube award plate for having over 100.000 subscribers on his drum channel.
