The Chrome Drum Rack Memory Locks slide easily onto any 1.5" rack bar and fit neatly alongside any Gibraltar drum rack clamp or multi-clamp. Loosen and tighten the clamps with a standard drum key. The memory locks are notched to relocate both position and pitch for absolute precision.

I find it a must if you ever take a rack appart and don't want to spend an entire day to put it back together.
Personally, I like to ring everything, my only complaint is that of you want more pieces shipping is not free, unless you spend a lot of money.
On the good side is that Gibraltar is fully upgradable, I turned my rack into a triple decker, but it was not cheap
