Simple and perfect

So I was between this, the Drumeo Quietkick, and the Evans Realfeel bass drum pad. Complaints I saw about the Evans were that it was shoddy design. The Drumeo provides some weird offset bass drum beaters, and is really small for portablility. But they also make you choose between a double kick and single kick option, which feels like a money grab. I don’t need that kind of portability, and wanted something that more closely resembled playing on an actual bass drum. I also don’t have to worry about playing quietly during the day. Sometimes I just want to work on my feet without the monotony of a loud bass drum. This was everything I needed. Comes in two pieces, and took me barely a minute to get it set up out of the box. Hooking my pedal up to it was also a breeze. I have a Tama Iron Cobra double kick pedal, and this pad accommodates that just fine. I’ve been using the hell out of it already and no complaints. It’s probably not as quiet as the drumeo or evans pads, but it’s a great option if you don’t have to worry about that, or portability.

I love my Gibraltar GBDP Bass Drum Practice Pads. I needed two practice pads for my kick drums pedals that has the real feel of my acoustic kick drums. These are it. I also purchased the 17" wide dry throne which is amazing. I love this company. I've been using their rack systems for over 30 years and they hold up on the road. That's says a lot.
