Beater angle can't be adjusted

As far as I'm aware, there's no way to adjust the angle of the beater. It keeps bouncing back and hitting my shins!. It also rebounds like crazy. And, the screws to stop it from moving on carpet don't actually go very far into the carpet. The left pedal keeps moving every few minutes and I have to stop to bring it back. Pay the extra money for one that you can actually adjust the beater angle on.

We are sorry for the experience you've received with this pedal. This is not the experience we wanted you to have. At this price point, there is limited beater angle adjustment. The beater is very responsive, which is a good thing. One thing you can do that should reduce the angle of the beater coming off the axle is to move the spring hub bearing that the spring assembly link connects to and rotates on. When looking at the spring cam assembly, you will see the hub bearing can be threaded into 3 different slots on the cam. Factory settings for it are set in the middle hole. By relocating it to the front hole, it will cause the leverage to be placed on the front pulling the beater forward more than in the center setting. This will allow you to control the resting position of the beater a little more.

If you are having difficulty keeping the slave pedal in place with the spurs, one option would be to add a little Velcro to the bottom of the pedal to grip the carpet.
