I purchased these to both alter my tom mounts and to suspend my toms away from the mounting hardware. I was wary initially, as it only locks onto two lug nuts. For smaller toms (12" and 13") these worked beautifully, and were Gibraltar solid. For larger toms I would definitely go with a suspension mount that utilizes more than two lug nuts.
